 RECIPES AND QUOTES

RECIPE FROM JUNE 6th EVENT:

Zucchini and Pea Stir Fry

5-6 small zucchinis (sliced 1/2" thick and cut in half)

2-3 cups snow and/or sugar snap peas ("deveined" and cut in half)

2 garlic scapes

2-3 small onions

4 sprigs of cilantro finely cut

2-3 Tbsp oil (I used grape seed)

soy sauce to taste (I probably used about 1/4 cup)

garlic pepper sauce to taste (I used about 1 Tbsp)

Heat oil in wok.

Add first 5 ingredients cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add soy and garlic pepper sauce.

Adaptions:

1) Cook chicken or beef strips in oil first, then add veggies.

2) Add chopped bok choy to the veggie mix.

3) Serve over rice.

July 18, 4pm: Americana Community Center August 8, 2pm: Canning and Food Preservation.

September 19, 2pm: Victory park farmers market, open air kitchen

October 3, 4pm: Winter Soups, Fb3 Development Kitchen

November 7, 4pm: Americana Community Center
